Love Yourself Like You Love Tacos

In about a month I will be 44.  There are days I can’t imagine living another 44 years because, damn, I’m just so tired. Then there are days that feel like time has gone too quickly and there isn’t enough left. Funny thing about time, it plays these tricks on you, messes with your head. Makes you feel old then young.  Makes you seem ahead of the game and then slowly sludging through mud. It’s unforgiving and gracious.  It’s precious and wasted.

Every year near my birthday I get super reflective.  It gets harder to process things as the kids grow older, and every new chapter comes.  I only have one child and 4 adults, two are getting married this year. Some day I will be a grandma (still working on my name—Mimzy? Marmee? Mum?)

I’m a mess. Up and down, young and old.  Sigh.

But I was reminded this week in my online Group for my moms ( find it on FACEBOOK: COFFEE PLEASE) that we can be messy AND amazing.  Just like tacos. Everything falling out….

Tacos are both. We can be both.  We can suck at being a mom AND be great at being a mom.  We can kill it at our jobs and totally fail the next day. That’s what makes us human and the absolute perfect candidate for God’s grace.  So much grace.  We have to love ourselves as much as we love tacos. That’s all there is to it.

So to remind yourself, buy a t-shirt.  Wear it on the messy days, and on taco days  (ummmm which is everyday so buy them all!). It was inspired by my friend Jill and so she’s picked this really great organization called:  LOOKOUT COFFEE  to donate the proceeds to.

ORDER BY SENDING ME A TEXT 210-241-4091 WITH WHICH SHIRT, COLOR AND SIZE AND WE WILL GET IT ALL TAKEN CARE OF !

Can’t wait to see your selfies wearing your new tshirt, loving yourself and eating a taco of course!
